Settings & config file
One file for everything
All of Seedmux's settings live in a plain text file, ~/.seedmux/config.toml — fonts, themes, window transparency, the hotkey, shortcuts, Agent Team, updates, language. Every option is listed with a short explanation.
- Edit it with anything — your editor, or the agent in a pane. Save, and the change applies immediately.
- The Settings window and the file stay in sync. Change one, the other follows.
- Keep it in your dotfiles. If
config.tomlis a symlink, Seedmux writes through the link. - Per-machine overrides go in
config.local.tomlnext to it.
Look and feel
- Settings › Appearance — window transparency and blur, terminal font, colour scheme, chat text size, the Dynamic Island.
- Custom colour schemes, or import one from iTerm2.
- Space colours — each space has its own palette that tints the sidebar, the window and the terminal together.
- GPU rendering with Ghostty's renderer, inside a native AppKit window.
